The contribution of the famous French anthropologist Levi-Breuer is indelible. He mentioned in “Primitive Thinking” that the visible world and the invisible world are mapped to each other, and that at any moment the visible world depends on invisible forces.In 2018, I saw Clint’s solo exhibition at the MOMA in New York, this Swedish female artist has been using painting to communicate with the spiritual and mythical world since 1906. Clint’s abstract paintings are derived from the interest and exploration in spirit, mysticism and science, as well as the depiction of invisible forces. In 1901, the Theosophist Anne Besant published what she called the Though-forms to illustrate points, that thoughts, feelings and sounds could be represented visually.Bergson believes that people’s perception and expression of things are not enough to express the exclusive emotions for life, omitting many specific features. The artist creates a perception that can express the duration of life. This unique perception is the intuition for beauty and also the motive for artistic creation. Art is a unique way to lift the veil that separates us from reality and brings the two directly into contact .Artist is a group of people from whom a particular motif of something originates, and from whom this motif becomes – or will become the motifs of all people. The exhibition assembled 25 influential Chinese abstract artists, whose excellent works of art will be shown for the first time in the northeast for communication, these works more completely represented the development of abstract art in China today with its unique spiritual exploration, they will lead us, from different angles to interpret the idea of the creation of abstract art and aesthetic meaning. The diversity of life has brought in new life to today’s Chinese abstract painting, it can be reflected in terms of methodology, also in use of logic, design, or biotics to emphasize the wild growth of unlimited painting process, which can refer to western religion of the bible story, and also returns to the east with the spirit of Zen.In these abstract paintings, we may feel a certain detail relatively more clear, the others seem very far away, which is beyond reality, away from the familiar and deconstructs the reality, to create a new reality. a kind of sub-conscious reality, For Kandinsky, abstractness is not the opposite of reality, but reality itself. Dive deep into the spiritual world, into the depths of memory, and try to walk into the past, to resurrect the past in a moment. In this way, abstract paintings let us see a new world, a world of images, a world made up of past moments and impressions. In the process of the fluidity of life, it is difficult to catch the slight waves, but abstract painting can capture them, freezing the memories and emotions of this very moment, so that we can revisit countless times, and feel invisible reality.
